Here is where I learned that everything is not binary in sales and you need to listen, be flexible, have excellent communication skills and think quickly on your feet. I applied my technical aptitude with my newly developed selling skills and progressed through various sales, management and leadership roles consistently producing top and bottom line growth, while building strong sales teams.My career has been in automotive, but I have been fortunate to have had a broad band with in my automotive experience leading and motivating OEM and Aftermarket teams for Automotive and Heavy Duty Truck sectors. My work includes P&L responsibility, account rationalization, contracts, pricing, strategic planning, engineering and program management. I’m proficient with a computer and have strong communication and presentation skills.My professional style is to be direct. I'm open and frank with my employees and my customers. I have learned to take available information and make a decision or take actions. This openness along with willingness to make a decision or accept responsibility has helped me establish long standing relationships and respect.To keep myself and SKF informed and positioned in our industries, I stay involved in key industry associations; Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA); Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA); Auto Car Association (ACA). In HDMA I was nominated and served on the Heavy Duty Business Forum a small subset (~50) of top executives supplying to the Heavy Duty market. As part of the ACA, I am responsible for SKF’s participation at Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) annual one-on-one customer meetings as well as SKF’s booth and messaging at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) trade show.
