I am responsible for site layout, setup and supervision. This includes programing of the robotic total station, troubleshooting, final grading, and coordination of drawings with the GC. A 3-month contract to assist these fantastic “Builders of Dreamscapes”. UCC was awarded the multimillion dollar, 70,000 sq. ft landscape portion of the Concord Gardens community in Richmond and needed some help to catch their breath. Duties included estimating, shop drawing review and submission, ordering and scheduling delivery of all long lead items, site meetings, bringing all drawings up to date, change orders, supplier visits, material and equipment deliveries to sites.

Having expanded into design build services, it gave me the ability to work directly with the engineers while completing a large variety of projects for clients such as First Capital Realty, Kruger Products, Lehigh Cement, Tree Island Steel, Western Pacific Enterprises, John Howard Society and others.Successfully managed and completed light industrial, commercial, and residential projects, with budgets up to $2,500,000. Estimate and submit tender packages on projects ranging up to $15,000,000.

While we successfully completed numerous low rise and multi-use concrete formwork contracts for clients I assumed Project Coordinator and Business Development roles within the company. Alongside regular site layout duties, I built the company website, maintained and improved the client database, coordinated all communications, and looked after the estimating and tenders.Projects included large institutions like the HOpe Center - Lion’s Gate Hospital, design-built architectural walls, and complex mechanical platforms.
