Involved in the ecological restoration and assessment of a watershed on Galiano Island, Canada. This role included; propagation and care for native plants, removal of target non-native vegetation, and monitoring of ecological responses to restoration activities. Whilst in this role I also improved geospatial workflows to allow for enhanced data capture and dissemination by utilising mobile applications and external GPS devices.

In this role I have been the trusted advisor to a wide range of customers spanning various industries as part of the Esri Advantage Program at Eagle Technology.

Eagles instructor for the Esri training course: ‘Creating Python Scripts for ArcGIS’. I have also written course material and facilitated workshops that covered the various Esri Field Applications, Arcade, and Python.

Assisting customers with technical support queries from the Esri system. I was required to demonstrate: technical troubleshooting, maintaining customer relationships, expectation management, and issue documentation.

In this role I was charged with maintaining the application built for managing the spread of wilding conifers. I had to collaborate with multiple stakeholders involved with the project, spanning central government, local government, and private organisations. This was part of a collaborative contract between Land Information New Zealand, Department of Conservation, and Eagle Technology.

Tutoring undergraduate GIS and geography students. GEOG 215: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, which involved explaining the basic concepts of GIS. GEOG 315: Advanced Geographic Information Systems, I helped expand students knowledge through their personal and group projects.

During my time at the Department of Conservation I automated data collection and data cleansing workflows using Python. I also worked on numerous cartographic projects that displayed information such as: walking tracks, protected areas, hunting zones, and upcoming conservation projects.

Sole charge of community pool. Roles included: life guarding, on-going upkeep and maintenance, cleaning, public relations, and water quality control.

Planning and executing, learn to swim lessons for primary and secondary school aged children. Communicate knowledge to children with minimal swimming experience, and provide feedback. Involved in both in and out of water teaching.
