Richard Foster is a serial entrepreneur, investor, fund manager, and professional speaker. Foster is the Chief Executive Officer at Cedar Communities, a private equity real estate firm focused on the acquisition of core assisted living facility assets. At Cedar, Foster is the lead financial director on mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, capital markets, and investor management. He also oversees the entire portfolio’s financial performance. Foster has spearheaded a myriad of complex financing transactions with varying debt structures including short term and long term bridge, HUD, CMBS and SBA financings for both acquisitions and refinancings with some of the world’s largest investment banks and financial institutions. Additionally, Foster manages all of Cedar’s limited partnership investment vehicles.He is also Managing Director of AngelFire Ventures, an angel investment fund focused on deal syndication of some of NYC's best angel deals. As a sought after advisor to early-stage ventures, Mr. Foster serves on the board and is actively involved in an executive capacity in several of his portfolio companies.
