Conducted national and regional seminars to train underwriters, agents, and policyholders in using OSCAR data for healthcare risk management. Managed Heaton’s national sales of policies and procedures and training systems to expand product line usage in multi-facility healthcare corporations and state/national healthcare associations.

Directed start-up activities for 150-bed rehabilitation facility designed to serve the post-acute/sub-acute private and managed care markets in Los Angeles. Coordinated development of policies/procedures. Responsible for personnel acquisition and staff development and participated with corporate staff in managed care contracting and marketing plan design.

Responsible for Hawaii operations, new facility development, and transfer of American SNF/CCRC policies and procedures to Japanese corporate office. Created marketing approach for Japanese skilled and assisted living operations, coordinated efforts to utilize the Internet for data transmission to Japan, and created draft Web pages for Aloha Management and Aloha Health Care. Produced more than 500 Japanese skilled nursing and retirement policies and procedures and created mission statement drafts, organizational charts and strategic directives. Developed training programs, staffing patterns, and job descriptions for Japanese operations and conducted facility operational analysis, feasibility study, and media response program for Japanese facilities 1992–1995. Directed firms efforts to secure CON approvals for two projects on Oahu (330 beds).

Directed facility start-up (130 beds) and marketing efforts. Functioned as corporate liaison with Japan buyers to point of sale for $11,000,000.00.

Directed corporate development and special projects including design and construction oversight for more than 300 skilled nursing and assisted living beds. Corporate office moved from Cleveland, TN to Macon, GA after sale of company.

Directed operations (120 beds) and executed a marketing plan resulting in a 100% increase in census in a 12-month period. Achieved the corporate objective to sell the facility.

Directed all phases of facility start-up through the first year of operations for four facilities.
