As an instructor at the US Army, I leverage my dual background as an attorney and a civil affairs soldier to teach military governance and law of war classes within the world's premier special operations community. I also instruct soldiers on using soft skills to engage with and positively influence the resident populations of the communities in which we operate around the world. My mission is to empower and enable our forces to achieve their strategic objectives while respecting human rights and international law.Before joining the US Army, I was a principal at The Hood Law Firm, a law firm specializing in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. I led and consulted on multiple mass tort cases involving complex electronic discovery matters. I was a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group 1, a former Steering Committee Member of Working Group 6, and a frequent lecturer and writer on business technology and litigation topics. I also served as co-lead counsel or steering committee member in several Multi-District Litigations, where I applied my expertise in directing operations, e-discovery program management, data analysis, and project management. I have over 18 years of experience in the legal field and 25 years in operations and project management. My technical skills, legal knowledge, and leadership ability allow me to build and maintain teams that deliver innovative and effective solutions for complex opportunities.
