Rail Operations Central Control Supervisor
Current•Daily implementation and usage of emergency management procedures to mitigate potential hazards and loss of life within the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. •Responsible for adhering to standard operating procedures, including but not limited to: Command Control and Coordination of Emergencies on the Rail System, Power Failures, Fire on the Roadway or in Car, Train Derailment or Collison, Bomb Threat, Flood, Person Struck by Train, and Hazardous Material Incidents. •Trained 20 new employees at the discretion of Operation Control Center (OCC) Management. •Managed 20 subordinates directly and 150 indirectly to support the mission plan.•Supervised the complicated arrival/departure of 300 trains at 86 stations, 10 terminals, and 9 yards to maintain a strict schedule. •Implemented the coordination and strategic resolution planning of over 500 disruptions to train services. •Conducted constant evaluation of potential train delay and implementation of alternate means of travel for over 600,000 customers each day. •Maintained the overall effectiveness and coordination of logistical programs to achieve program objectives and meet customer requirements; advised, counsel and instruction to team members on work assignments while meeting customer service standards. •Maintained constant contact with local government, Federal government, Operation Control Center (OCC), Metro Police, Metro Media Office and other WMATA offices in order to pass along vital information. •Ensured operational aspects of the emergency policies and procedures are consistent with the requirements of laws and directives. •Reviewed for compliance deficiencies in the operation as well as provided briefings and resources to support emergency management program initiatives.
