My name is RJ Lyon, and I am a sophomore at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am currently pursuing a Business Administration and Management/ Law, Ethics, Decision-Making co-major. I am a committee member in Riley Dance Marathon and take part in several law-related clubs in Bloomington, including being the Director of Professional Development in the Pre-Law Association. My experiences in DECA and as a co-founder of the Investment Club at my high school allowed me to develop skills related to leadership, teamwork, and creativity. Growing up in northeast Indianapolis, I wanted to go to one of the top undergrad business schools in the country and the college that I have been rooting for all my life, IU. I’m passionate about growing with others professionally and seeing other people do well by my side.My personal values, skills, and interests surrounding ambition, intuitiveness, strategic thinking, and projection of confidence can complement organizations who are looking for individuals that align to those ideas and to a shared vision. My short-term goals are to gain valuable experiences through Indiana University and internships that will help me in the future and that would allow me to help companies in the present. My long-term goals after college are to go to law school and then add value to an organization that would embrace the new talent and values that I would come with.
