I currently serve as a Project Manager supporting VA Privacy Service. My responsibilities include leading efforts to orient and train the 400+ VA Privacy Officers to their roles and responsibilities regarding the implementation and assessment of NIST SP 800-53 Privacy Controls, and additional activities related to privacy compliance. Additionally, I support the Privacy Program Management Office within the Privacy Service to develop and implement a catalogue of performance and compliance metrics for each Privacy Service programs and projects, assessment mechanics, and dashboards to aid in understanding program maturity and performance across the Privacy Service portfolio.

I served as the project lead for a work stream to develop, deliver, and assess privacy compliance awareness and training resources to administration and facility Privacy Officers in the Department of Veterans Affairs. I worked directly with federal privacy stakeholders and examine workforce data to understand and craft an intentional training and awareness program. Major deliverables include a long-term training and communications strategy, factsheets and training modules orienting staff to federal and department policies on privacy controls, and SOPs. A key accomplishment in this role was the development of a 3-part video series to provide full-cycle guidance to VA Privacy Officers participating in the annual Office of the Inspector General FISMA and FISCAM Audit Process. Additionally, as my contract team's primary communications resource, I work to provide guidance and expertise on communications, accessibility, and SharePoint for the entire Privacy Compliance Support Services portfolio.

I worked with a client within the VA Privacy Service to establish a new Privacy Program Management Office and work toward steady-state operations providing portfolio management and oversight and performance reporting for the Privacy Service. I was responsible for establishing new program management documents and processes, along with devising change management processes to orient staff to understand and adopt these new tools. I also established multiple reporting channels to collect updates on projects' status towards milestones, management of risks and issues, and the value delivered to Veterans and their families.

I served on the Business Analyst team for an Agile Release Train focused on the development and enhancement of IT applications and services aimed toward assisting Veterans and lenders with navigating the VA Loan Guaranty process. I developed user stories based on product features and led an agile team of 9 in refinement sessions. I also acted as a Product Owner by assisting the team in recognizing the product vision and prioritizing the team product backlog with an eye towards planning effective and high-value iterations. As member of the ART Business Analyst team, I collaborated with Human Centered Design teams to ensure a positive user experience; composed and compiled release notes for distribution and developed documentation of new software applications.

I provided a strategic vision for and led the daily operations of a residential community of seven apartment buildings housing 2,200 upper division students with a programmatic budget of over $31,000. I directly supervised four full-time Resident Directors, and a team of student office managers, and indirectly supervised 50 student employees. My day-to-day tasks in this role primarily involved management & leadership, ongoing training and development, sustaining relationships, providing high-level customer service, problem solving, crisis management, and project management.

In this temporary assignment to compensate for a staff vacancy, I took on leadership for the curriculum development, coordination, and instruction of EDCP 470 - Introduction to Student Personnel. EDCP 470 is a course within UMD's College of Education designed to provide a pre-service foundation of college student development theory and strategies to candidates for the Resident Assistant position. My work included designing course materials and teaching topics such as communication, confrontation & conflict management; diversity, equity & inclusion; college student development in a residential setting; and basic counseling techniques. I also was the main point of contact for 125 students, and coordinated a team of 21 Discussion Leaders and advised on instruction & grading strategies. In addition, I developed and administered course evaluations and analyzed results for presentation to stakeholders.

In this role I had oversight of two residential communities housing approximately 500 undergraduate students. My primary responsibilities included recruitment, selection, training and supervision of a team of undergraduate paraprofessional staff members, as well as student conduct management and crisis response, and maintaining connections withs Living-Learning Program faculty & staff. I also provided guidance to student government organizations and support to students with personal, academic, and social concerns.

Worked with full-time Residence Hall Director to manage a community of 660 second-year residents. Co-supervised staff of 18 Resident Assistants and 3 undergraduate Hall Secretaries, advised Schroeder Hall Council and mentored executive board members. Also supported department and divisional initiatives by serving on committees for RA selection, student leadership outcomes, and reproductive & sexual health initiatives. Also advised campus programs through the Residence Hall Association and Office of Student Development.

As a graduate intern for the Office of Undergraduate Admission, I assisted Admissions staff with area recruitment events including high school visits, campus open houses, and both regional and national college fairs. I also worked to conduct large-group presentations and informational interviews with individual families. More administrative responsibilities included working with processing staff to compile student applications, and conducting research for department staff on future enrollment trends as well as social media initiatives.

As ACUHO-I intern, worked with a staff of 5 other Residence Directors and 3 Activities Managers to foster a comprehensive living and learning environment for high school students participating Summer @ Brown pre-college programs. Trained and supervised staff of 16 undergraduate Resident Advisors, oversaw management of complex of 6 residence halls housing a total of 650 students through two 3-week academic sessions, served in campus duty rotation, managed residential life facilities processes including room condition reports and health & safety inspection forms, for entire campus.
