Hello! My name is Ryan McMahon. I am a graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology currently living in the D.C. metro area.While I began my undergrad degree in Computer and Software Engineering, I found myself drawn to the more creative and high-level elements of my class projects. UI design, project management, and developing effective presentations all felt more rewarding than coding. After COVID hit, I upended my educational track to develop my own degree track through RIT's School of Individualized Study. Through this, I was able to use my prior technical experience to enrich my studies in the realm of digital communications and business.After graduating, I participated in an AmeriCorps VISTA year of service in Colorado Springs, where I got the chance to work with the local council of governments on traffic safety communications. After this, I moved to our nation's capital to continue my work in the non-profit space.
