We do this by creating awareness, offering guidance, and leading by example to show the world what giving can do. Our grants support public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations based in the United States that either help people in need or solve complex problems. We also spearhead grassroots campaigns to encourage others to give.

Building Connecticut’s talent pipeline for nonprofit leadership.Responsible for: Coaching the next wave of nonprofit leadership in ConnecticutResults: Provided over 60 hours of coaching to 15 leaders

Changing the trajectory of Alzheimer's disease.Responsible for: Planning and execution of fundraising efforts including large-scale and intimate events, foundations & corporate grants and sponsorships, peer-to-peer giving, as well as overseeing strategic partnership development, and managing a donor database that includes 4,300+ yearly giftsResults: exceeded revenue by 30% in 2021; revitalized and enhanced current suite of national programs, produced new event format that raised $100,000+ for the organization, built and maintain donor database

Helping Fairfield-County CT nonprofits grow and thrive.Responsible for: Coordination of high-quality workshops to help nonprofits increase efficiencies, raise more money, better engage board members, and empower staff so they can achieve greater impact.Results included: in FY17, the CNE served 686 individuals representing 325 organizations through training and support.Responsible for: Managing Fairfield County's Giving Day, an annual 24-hour initiative to raise money for nonprofit organizations based in Fairfield County, CT. Results: in 2018, over $1.4 million was donated by 13,137 donors to support 416 nonprofits. Compared to its first year, there was a 55% increase in nonprofit participation and 92% increase in average gift size.

A community outlet for sharing stories, spreading ideas, and enacting positive change on a local level. Responsible for: Digital content production, website management, speaker recruitment and selectionResults: Hosted 15 events which brought together 100+ speakers and over 1,000+ attendees

A local chapter of a national nonprofit focused on grassroots community dinners to support local nonprofits.Responsible for: Organizational management, volunteer coordination, nonprofit partner selection. Results: Organized 10 unique events for 595 attendees and raised over $10,000 for 10 local nonprofit organizations. Managed 50 unique volunteers contributing over 350 hours of service.

A national movement committed to advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership capacities of our young people.Responsible for: Supporting the growth and development of civic leaders through individual coaching and group support, recruiting nonprofit placement opportunities, designing and facilitating experiential-based learning opportunities, event planning, data management, and expanding career and educational networks for emerging leaders. Results: Successfully supervised and graduated 33 AmeriCorps members serving over 56,100 hours of community service, secured and managed partnerships with 15 nonprofit organizations throughout Fairfield County, contributed over 200 coaching hours to establish individualized action plans for members, and initiated and co-led the first-ever Strategic Planning process for the organization.

10-month commitment to the Connecticut Northeast Organic Farming Association (CT NOFA) through the Public Allies apprenticeship program.Responsible for: Event Coordination, Marketing and Communications, Volunteer Recruitment.Results: Served as the Event Coordinator for the 2011 NOFA 5-Day Accreditation Course in Organic Land Care; established and maintained social media presence (including CT NOFA Facebook page and Blog) and organized Bridgeport Beautifies, a collaborative project with more than 10 partner organizations that involved 20 service projects for 200+ volunteers for the annual Groundwork Bridgeport 2011 Spring Park City Sweep.

10-week AmeriCorps VISTA position in the Community Building and Organizing department. Worked in the BPD's Boston Regional Intelligence Center. Completed various tasks including inputting Field Interrogation Reports (FIOs), writing summaries on motor vehicle thefts, and completing queries using a gang database.

Worked in the NYPD's Office of Management Analysis and Planning, Crime Mapping and Crime Analysis office. Completed an independent research project on efforts to map law enforcement activity.

Research Assistant on two projects: a human trafficking project that included researching and collecting reports on figures of human trafficking victims in the United States; and Shannon Community Safety Initiative project, which included contacting research partners to conduct interviews and write spotlights on successful programs.

Helped plan and coordinate the 2009 Dash for a Difference event which raised over $20,000 for the nonprofit organization that focuses on team-based volunteer opportunities. Tasks included volunteer recruitment and coordination, event coordination and outreach.
