Senior TPM Role handling program and product solutions for Alexa Privacy, working as part of the Privacy Engineering team. I will be obsessing over my customers and helping the team drive solutions that make Alexa ever more private and secure.

Offering Management for Max Cloud, a premium offering that improves collaboration and content sharing among Max Users with a suite of services and browser-based applications. Max Cloud is also a platform for launching new applications for our Max Weather Solution users.

Managing various product lines that include file-based quality control, A/V baseband and compressed signal measurement and monitoring, compressed-stream playout. Managing entire business lines that generate over $20M in direct revenue and considerable pull-through revenue. Growing each portfolio using a combination of in-house technology and OEM arrangements with technology partners. Setting the vision and direction for a next generation of products.

To meet a business need transition to a special projects role to bring OEM solutions for streaming, compressed test and measurement to market while also doing traditional Product Management for our File-Based Q/C product. I help negotiate OEM agreements, drive development of platforms to runthe OEM software and do all New Product Introduction work to bring the a leading edge multi-CODEC, multi-source real time analyzer to market using outside engineering and contract manufacturing. At the same time I support technical sales, set roadmap and drive direction as we enhance our File-Based product, QuiC.

Due to organizational changes and staff reductions I am asked to take on a key contributor role. I contribute to software architecture and development on various complex systems, both server and embedded solutions. Specializing in Linux-based solutions, compressed and uncompressed video and audio processing for traditional broadcast as well as IPTV.

Leitch Technology acquires AgileVision LLC. My title changes to fit within the structure of Leitch.I manage the enhancement of the AGV-1000 product to meet evolving product needs and customer commitments. Also managed a team that put compressed domain ingest andplay into the Leitch Video Server product line. I trained the factory and customer support organizations toallow hand-off of those responsibilities, although, customer support was something I carried throughout theproduct life cycle even after the official handoff. I helped pollinate AgileVision `core technology' intocomplementary Leitch products. Conducted formal training in MPEG2 and related technologies.

Oversaw the development, test and deployment of the AGV-1000 product, a software-basedimplementation of multi-channel Master Control Switching, DVE, and file streaming that provided anATSC-compliant output for broadcasters. The AGV-1000 did both concurrent and parallel processing usingan array of specialized embedded processors. It ran a real-time OS on embedded nodes and was fronted bya WINNT control and maintenance system. I managed the vendor partners that provided the platform(Mercury) and the automation control interface (MicroFirst). I was involved in pre-sales support, customertraining and commissioning of sold units. Once deployed, I functioned as the primary interface for Customer Support since we were early in deployment and maturity of the company.

Firmware Development for set-top and head-end software. Projects included analog and DVB-based products. Combined staff of the two teams averaged around 30 people. Various projects managed simultaneously using a range of RTOS systems and mostly C development.I culminated in combining that with second level management of Controller Software SI&T team (35 contributors and two managers) along with keeping the direct management role fore the headend and STB firmware teams. I added the second-level management role in my last year with General Instrument / MotorolaCompany was General Instrument before Motorola acquires them in January 2000.

Managed several test teams that oversaw testing of all products in the business unit, controller, head-end or set-top.

Lead a team of set- top testers while handling special projects including liaison to overseas manufacturing for set-tops.

Lead developer on key Set-Top Box (STB) projects. Also oversaw a test team and was primary software representative for entering our STBs into high-volume manufacturing in Taiwan and Mexico.

Responsible for Interactive Program Guide system for CFT-2200 set-top box as it was redefined to meet evolving customer needs, smaller footprint and avoid patents already established by GemStar.

Hired to run the outsource development of Interactive Program Guide services for the General Instrument CFT-2200. I did the initial implementation to specification. Worked off-site and then integrated with the in-house development team.

Worked my way up from Associated, through Member to Senior Member in five years doing a mix ofdigital designs, custom drivers, embedded software, and project lead. Formation was a responsive systemsmaker and subcontractor for large-scale government projects including a couple phased of the AdvancedAutomation System Air Traffic Control Upgrade. Some highlights include: · Software lead for a custom, network manageable router to connect IBM ESCON fiber channel to FDDI and Ethernet interfaces. Product was installed a NASA Shuttle Mission Control. · Custom hardware and software solution to emulate Air Traffic Controller consoles with that drove the training scenarios coming from NAS (National Airspace System). · SCSI peer-to-peer software implementation for custom VME X.25 WAN board. This was piece of the first attempt at the Advanced Automation System for Air Traffic Control. · ISA and Micro-Channel digital board designs and firmware for custom solutions.
