As a program associate, I prepared and held learning events with teens weekly to support their understanding of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (or STEAM). I researched unique and intriguing experiments and designed worksheets youth can use to perform projects. To ensure youth safety while using the technology lab, it was my responsibility to update software, antivirus security, and operating systems. Additionally, for the health and well-being of the youth, I regularly sanitized and disinfected surfaces and devices.As the first graphic designer at Wetzel Teen Center, I found it important to establish a brand identity for both the center and the technology lab. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I was in charge of marketing and messaging. This enabled me to design the annual summer brochure, which encompassed not only Wetzel Teen Center, but the school-age center, child development center, and sports activities.As part of programming for the technology lab, I advocated for the purchase of Adobe Creative Cloud for the ability to teach youth design thinking skills. I also taught printmaking, hand lettering, crochet and more, to expose youth to new ways of expressing themselves. In this role, I introduced these "low tech" activities and programming after seeing a need for increased creative learning opportunities among the youth at the teen center.

As a sales associate for Cherish, a jewelry store at AAFES' Exchange, I prepared displays for optimal browsing based upon provided charts and in-store deals and discounts. I engaged with customers to aid them in their search for gifts and purchases related to jewelry, watches and sunglasses. To be an expert in the field, I researched the history of various gemstones and brands to present the best products to customers. I manned registers and helped with special orders in addition to assisting with the annual and internal inventory processes. By establishing good rapport with customers, I was able to build trusted relationships, which allowed Cherish to be the go-to area for military families to purchase jewelry, watches and sunglasses.
