Responsible for bilateral economic relations between Germany and the Netherlands

Leading a team of 18 in representing the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs at international financial institutions such as World Bank, IMF, AfDB, ADB, EBRD, IDB and IFAD and dealing with issues such as development economics and finance, international debt, capacity development and technical assistance.Achievements: managed Netherlands rapid support to Ukraine through IFIs as well as a number of development fund replenishments and bank capital increases.

Advising the Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (currently INTPA), Unit Migration and Employment on issues related to the economics of migration, border management, the EU's External Investment Plan and the Euro-African Dialogue on Migration and Development (the Rabat Process) as well on the coordination on these issues among the different services of the European Commission.Achievements: managed migration partnerships and programs for return and re-integration, improved coordination among DGs, cabinets of Commissioners and EEAS.

Coordinator Bureau for Migration Policy responsible for coordination of the Ministry’s migration policies, both internally and externally. Special responsibility for policy development together with the Ministry’s Special Envoy on Migration / head of the Bureau.Achievements: managed the transition of the Migration Task Force to the Bureau of Migration Policy.

Head of the Migration Task Force responsible for the formulation and coordination of and communication on the Ministry’s migration policies, both internally and externally, supporting the Ministry’s Special Envoy on Migration.Achievements: managed the Task Force’s transition from a crisis management mechanism to a policy unit.

Deputy Head of Mission advising the Ambassador on bilateral Greek - Dutch relations with special attention to reporting on the Greek economy and the financial-economic situation in Greece, Greece’s role in the refugee crisis, managing the Embassy’s team and supervising the Embassy’s work space for young entrepreneurs Orange Grove.Achievements: reported on Eurocrisis, built a strong and motivated team, launched Orange Grove incubator’s 2nd phase

Leader of the Permanent Representation’s team dealing with human rights issues (the UN Human Rights Council, UN OHCHR and the Human Rights Treaty Bodies). Ambassador’s advisor on all political issues pertaining to the United Nations in Geneva. Achievements: built a strong position of the Netherlands within European Union coordination on human rights in Geneva.

World Bank coordinator responsible for the Netherlands Minister for Development Cooperation’s participation at World Bank meetings and bilateral voluntary contributions to the World Bank (approx. EUR 45 million p.a.). Leader of the International Financial Institutions Division’s team dealing with regional development banks. Achievements: reformed and streamlined the bilateral cooperation programme with the World Bank on a new footing; created the Ministry’s monitoring survey for multilateral development organisations.

Manager of the Royal Netherlands Embassy’s bilateral cooperation programme with Brazil focusing on the preservation of natural resources, the promotion of small-scale sustainable business in the Amazon forest and projects under the Clean Development Mechanism CDM. Responsible for press & cultural affairs with special attention for Dutch-Brazilian common cultural heritage. Responsible for reporting on social affairs and human rights in Brazil. Achievements: created and implemented the bilateral technical cooperation programme with Brazil by concentrating on raising of environmental awareness.
