PL Medical is a medical device company that is responsible for the sale and distribution of Dosimetry services, surgical blades and other medical devices for large distributors and other customers.• Responsible for the overall strategy of PL Medical.• Responsible for the finances of PL Medical.• Added a new web based portal, myTLDaccount, for Dosimetry customers to access dosage reports online and manage their account online.• Quality Manager for the PL Medical Dosimetry program.• Radiation Safety Officer for PL Medical Dosimetry program.

In an effort to standardize testing methodology and impart oversight to IT testing at CIGNA, the Quality Control group was founded to impart testing knowledge via testing project managers for various projects.• Led a team of approximately 30 Test Project Managers responsible for ensuring that all CIGNA IT projects had accurate IT testing professions overseeing the implementation/testing of new IT solutions.• Successfully project managed a testing team that encompassed groups from both the US and India (approximately 25 people) to release three projects related to CIGNA’s overall strategy: Consumer Driven Products, Web Pharmacy Selection Tool and Integration of the Small Business Market to the Overall IT Infrastructure.• Provide reports to senior management regarding testing progress.• Assisted in the development of various process improvement opportunities for the Quality Control department.

The CIGNA lines of business had difficulty engaging the Information Technology operations community to ensure resources were identified, available and trained to support new business applications. Hired to create a consistent engagement process for the IT Operations area and provide resource utilization statistics for financial billing of work. • Implemented a Work Request System to assign resources to projects and track resource capacity for the EOSS and PSS Operational areas.• Implemented the use of Empire Time, and later the Business Engine Network, to track actual hours work towards a project and enable financial billing of work effort.• Created a monthly dashboard to measure resource utilization for over 800 IT Operations employees. Dashboard also used to track costs of CIGNA’s third-party vendors.• Aided in the design and implementation of a categorization system that tied service deliveries to actual costs.• Estimate and track operational costs through the life of a project.

During peak enrollment periods CIGNA’s award-winning e-commerce site (www.mycigna.com) experienced a high number of internet timeouts causing customer frustration. Hired to implement a production support process for the site and move applications to CIGNA's Application Management Practice for lower support costs.• Implemented a production support process and ran production support meetings for the eCommerce Practice. • Created a set of monthly reports regarding production issues, resolutions and challenges that were presented to senior managers. • Transition mature eCommerce Practice applications to CIGNA’s Application Management Practice to reduce support costs of applications.• Career mentor to one eCommerce Practice employee responsible for automating test scripts.

In order to reduce systems delivery costs, hired to integrate the CIGNA Retirement and Investment Services division into CIGNA existing distribution and testing techniques. After a large organizational shift, CIGNA’s testing group needed to separate its enterprise system testing group from its application testing group. Managed a group of 3 full-time employees and 3 consultants to support testing and releasing large-scale CIGNA IT products.• Testing of applications in the Systems, Retirement and Investment Services, Investment Management, and Healthcare lines of business. • Implemented the ORT process for testing in the CIGNA Retirement line of business. Fully automated and tested applications for distribution via SMS.• Helped in implementing a process flow for ORT to integrate into the CIGNA Systems Testing Process as well as created/updated supporting documentation.• Authored an Automated Testing White Paper to standardize the process of implementing WinRunner for testing purposes.

Hired by CIGNA into an IT leadership program, which provided diverse challenges through rotating assignments. At the time, CIGNA was converting its enterprise environment from Windows 3x and OS/2 2.11 to Windows NT and 95 with a centralized infrastructure. This allowed for opportunities to shape IT design, and provide recommendations which lead to greater reliability and cost effectiveness.• Technology Architecture Practice o Develop applications and hardware for use at CIGNA. o Tested updates and new applications and developed test plan and scripts for Testing and Quality Control certification.
