Manages and advises compliance subject matter experts and their teams in the Africa market and serves as a centre of excellence for all matters related to regulatory compliance and responsible sourcing. Co-ordinates teams to balance the interests of the business against the complex universe of all statutory and regulatory compliance related obligations and commitments including supervisory requirements and adopted industry standards, guidelines and codes.

Accountable for the development and oversight of Massmart's regulatory compliance programme across a number of subject matter areas within the African market and its alignment against the Walmart compliance strategy.

Provision of strategic and specialised advisory support to business Executives on all regulatory matters. Company liaison with regulatory authorities and other government bodies in a multitude of jurisdictions.

Responsible for overall compliance to ensure adherence to legal standards and in-house policies. Provision of guidance on matters of regulatory and legal compliance, risk management and corporate governance best practices in various jurisdictions.

Assistance in ensuring the integrity of the governance framework and the efficient administration of a portfolio of public listed, public unlisted and private companies in a number of African jurisdictions. Statutory and regulatory support to Board of Directors in the implementation company resolutions.
