Leader of the Research Coding Shop within the BCH Research Computing department. Fully responsible for project intake, managing the portfolio of software and data engineering projects undertaken by the team, project prioritization, budget, and their on-time delivery. - Leading the electronic consenting for research studies initiative in the institution. Implementing in-person and remote consent for all human subjects’ research studies held at BCH. This solution integrates electronic consenting with other systems in the BCH informatics ecosystem, such as the electronic medical record (EMR) and the research participant registry, to fully automate the in-person electronic consent process using supported mobile devices and remote consents. Led the scaling of the platform from five protocols to more than a hundred research studies in less than a year- Lead informatics efforts of the Taking on COVID19 Together research protocol. Lead architect and program manager of the laboratory information management system used by multiple BCH laboratories like the Biobank Core Lab, Pulmonary Biobank Initiative, and the Pathology Cutting Room. It is used to manage and track specimens and subjects’ data and is also intended as a self-service tool for customers. The LIMS uses a SaaS subscription model that is used by all the laboratories

Worked on the Galaxy project, which is a bioinformatics tools integrator. Worked on a product life cycle management software being developed for the Boeing 787 Airplane program. This tool is used by the engineers in Boeing for the functional integration of the wiring and electrical systems on the airplane. Configuration Management and Multi Variant is a major extension to this tool, which adds revision control and multi variants with respect to the parts of the airplane. Responsibilities - Generated detailed revision control requirements based on constant interactions with system managers. - Designed and developed the core configuration management framework and a rich API that defines the revision control behavior of the tool. - Developed a multi-threaded Python API to read/write from the backend Versant object-oriented database. - Designed and implemented the core user interface for the tool. - Enhanced the tool with a faster utility to create links in bulk in between different parts of the airplane. - Developed elaborate unit tests to validate all the functionality developed.
