• Independent completion of system designs to support orders, proposals and other projectsutilizing software tools available, systems/component knowledge and through application ofstandard engineering concepts, practices.
• Create PURON® MBR System P&ID’s, general arrangement / layout drawings, detailed fabrication drawings and equipment specifications that meet or exceed project deadlines set by the Project Manager.
• Contribute to Koch’s ongoing effort to improve quality and reduce cost of both modular and packaged PURON® MBR Systems.
• Perform engineering system design evaluations with respect to line sizes, fluid velocities,pump sizing, compressor sizing, finite element analyses, etc. to ensure functional system designs.
• Interface with Project Managers, Process Engineering, Controls Engineering, R&D,Membrane Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Systems Manufacturing, Purchasing andMarketing on a variety of issues associated with systems.

• Responsible for the design, documentation and release to order of extruders, blending systems, melt filtration and melt pumps.
• Create system layout drawings, detailed component/assembly drawings for both outsourcing and internal manufacturing/assembly.
• Implement lean manufacturing processes for plastics extrusion equipment.
• Coordinate with and support Sales, Purchasing, Aftermarket, Operations and Manufacturing departments.
• Provide support to multiple vendors to ensure product compatibility supplied from various sources.
