Frontend Engineering Lead for Lightsail- Architected a wizard experience to combine Domains, DNS Zones, static IPs, domain assignments and SSL certificates that reduced a cumbersome 50+ step process to less than 17 steps, making it simpler for customers to set up a Wordpress website using a Lightsail instance, all while leading and enabling a team of 4 engineers- Led a migration effort to move away from Redux Sagas and move to React Query in a way that we can maintain both fetching and caching libraries together without accruing code debt. - Collaborated with the CloudShell team to make CloudShell, a web based shell (a service provided by AWS), available within Lightsail, so customers can manage their AWS resources directly from their browser. - Quickly ramped up and made changes in CloudShell's codebase to make it seamlessly work when rendered within the Lightsail webappFrontend Tech Lead for Lightsail for Research- Led a remote team of 7 engineers across USA and Canada to build a whole new web application to target a new customer segment (Researchers). - Set up the tech stack from scratch involving re-architecting our current webapp to let go of some utilities to find a new place in a new package so that we can share various components and utilities between the 2 monolithic webapps. - Strategized the data layer across the web application from fetching, caching, mutating and polling data so that users get instant feedback while updates take place async through our APIs. - Played a pivotal rule in our product / UX strategies to help us make sure we're shipping the right product.- Acted as an engineering contact to our beta users and considered and prioritized their feedback for our launch.
