I have been an I.T. professional for over 25 years. 25 years of experience serving manufacturing companies in New York, assisting with systems, technology, and process improvement. Throughout my career, I have led the evolution of systems, from basic Inventory Management to MRP, and ultimately to ERP and Supply Chain Management.Upon my retirement and return to Wisconsin, it was evident to me that I had had my fill of routers, hubs, switches, networks, security, viruses et al. It was clear that I needed to find something meaningful and interesting to do. Then I found Logical Green Solutions. They have provided me with the opportunity to combine two passions in a single position.First and foremost, with a focus on sustainability, I have been able to satisfy the need to work on something I consider to be interesting and of incredible importance. Secondly, my career-long interest in process improvement and organizational learning fit perfectly with initiating and or implementing sustainability projects. It certainly doesn’t hurt that these projects boast a 100% success rate, rapid returns on investment, and frequently ROI’s in less than one year. It is worth pointing out that in addition to improving the bottom line, sustainability programs pull people together to work on other important projects. The shared success of individuals, teams, and ultimately the company and its customers can be transformational. Successful sustainability projects can go a long toward jump-starting a culture.
