As a new business producer, I work in tandem with one of my colleagues to find qualified opportunities and present our unique “6 step process” to risk management. The heart of this process is the Technical Risk Analysis (TRA). The TRA is an audit assembled and executed by me and one of my colleagues. It is a tangible document for the business owner to determine whether or not the P&C Insurance in place is meeting his/hers or expectations in the event of an uncovered claim and the measurement of its financial impact. It is a comprehensive study of what the business does and does not do and an examination of what the business is contractually obligated to insure More importantly, the TRA is a roadmap on “how to” repair the coverage to prevent against uncovered claims and out of pocket expenses. The TRA is an investment of 300 – 400 man hours of our time and resources and it isn’t something we charge prospects, it is however our “value add” and what we believe to distinguish ourselves from our competition. Our clients have a few commonalties; pay in premiums in excess of $300,000, work forces are typically blue collar, demand acute attention to detail and excellent service year round.
