LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic is a medical fitness clinic that specializes in the prevention of chronic diseases as well as the treatment and maintenance of chronic conditions. Responsibilities: - Case management of members - Providing clinical parameters to create a safe and effective exercise program - Supervising small group training sessions - Collecting vital measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate and blood sugars - Using coaching skills to help members set goals and achieve success - Conducting health related fitness assessments on members

Responsibilities: 1. Conducting Firefighter Physical Aptitude Job-Related Tests (FPAT) on firefighter candidates 2. Conducting VO2max testing, using the Modified IAFF WFI Treadmill Protocol.3. Preparing each candidate with a mask, headgear, and heart rate monitor, prior to each VO2max test.4. Spotting candidates while VO2max tests are being conducted, to ensure safety.5. Competing necessary paperwork, and logging all tests into database at the end of each day. 6. Cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each test.7. Calibrating and disinfecting all equipment at the beginning and end of each day.

•Perform clinical assessments such as electrocardiograms, telemetry, pulmonary function testing, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation • Counsel patients on lifestyle changes for risk factor modification and instruct them regarding safe and effective exercise•Prepare the patient and assist the doctor in performing stress tests • Obtain medical histories for musculoskeletal injury and cardiac patients• Perform and chart fitness assessments such as range of motion, percent body fat through skin folds, flexibility, grip strength and girth measurements • Administer therapeutic modalities including interferential current therapy, ultrasound, magnetic field and soft laser therapies• Instruct patients regarding use of exercise equipment for musculoskeletal injury and cardiac rehabilitation• Perform office work such as booking appointments, charting, and filing

Along side of the case manager, my position includes supervising cardiac rehab classes, taking patients blood pressures before exercise, monitoring heart rates and exercise responses, monitor resistance training, and do trial prescriptions and assessments of patients.

My job includes working in all aspects of the business including customer service, baking, cleaning, managing other employees, organizing, scheduling, and ordering products/supplies for the business.

- Providing assistance to the physiotherapist to treat the patients, including using an inferential current therapy, and ultrasound. - Instructing, demonstrating and assisting patients perform the prescribed rehabilitation programs- Tracking all exercises performed by each client in an organized exercise log - Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the clinic at all times - Handling administrative tasks such as the scheduling and billing of patients, as well as answering the phone and emails

- Provided personal training for a client over 8 weeks- Performed health related fitness assessments before and after the program according to CSEP guidelines
