Robert is a climate-focused innovation professional working at the nexus of technology, business, and society.A native Californian and father of 2, Robert has recently relocated to the Bay Area after 10 years living abroad in S. Korea, China, Thailand, and Denmark. After spending time working in biotech, pharma, and agtech, he recently wrote the initial white paper of and led business and product development for a market-leading early wildfire detection AI solution used by major utilities, forestry, and government agencies on 2 continents. In order to expand his impact on contribution to the climate crisis, he joined Plug and Play Tech Center's Food vertical to continue driving innovation between startups and corporates at the nexus of society and environment. Robert holds an MBA and a Master's in International Management from leading universities in South Korea and Denmark respectively. He is proud to be a first-generation college graduate.Through his recent work as a product owner a new passion for product design, management, and user experience (UX) design has developed. While also a great compliment to his existing skillset, the design thinking process more closely aligns with his baseline approach to business development. Helping people and impacting society has always been the motivation for choosing to study business, and remains singularly focused on continuing to work in climate-related spaces.
