A. Residential Life Responsibilities1. Serve as a resource and role model to students and be available and accessible to respond to their needs and concerns2. Act as a referral agent when appropriate3. Produce active and passive programs for assigned section based on the outline and requirements provided by the OwlAdvantage Program4. Conduct section meetings at the beginning of each semester and as needed5. Mediate roommate and section conflicts as needed6. Communicate and enforce University policies and Residential Life regulations; document violations of these regulations in atimely manner7. Distribute information to students in a regular and timely manner8. Support Hall Council by assisting with recruitment and promotion and by attending a minimum of one (1) Hall Councilmeeting or event per month9. Assist with Department functions as directed or needed10. Complete other duties as assigned by the Residence Director and/or Residential LifeB. Staff Responsibilities1. Work cohesively and constructively with all other hall staff team members2. Be punctual and prepared for in-hall staff meetings and in-service trainings3. Demonstrate ownership and accountability for overall team performance4. Display a positive attitude5. Assist staff members with incorporating changes to the hall environment6. Resolve staff conflicts that may arise in a prompt, direct, constructive, and confidential manner7. Maintain open lines of communication with your in-hall staff, other building staffs and the central office staff8. Work scheduled duty shifts by remaining in one’s assigned residential area, being available and accessible in the building,assuming responsibility for rounds and responding to emergencies. This includes additional coverage as needed for eventsincluding, but not limited to professional athletic events, Halloween Haunted House, Senate Banquet, Spring Weekend, etc.
