About Rebekah Denton

Passionate scientist, science communicator, writer, and currently a student seeking higher education in STEM. Space studies, astronomy, biological sciences, and visual communications are my passions along with writing. I've worked in many different roles from being the writer for small start-up news agencies to being a business owner of my own. I have founded a non-profit organization called Light-Year Astronomical Association in my state of North Carolina to educate children, adults, and elders on astronomy, astrobiology, and astrophysics by going from rural towns and urban underfunded cities with a mobile observatory to show them the wonders of the cosmos, and currently I am Chairperson of The Board for said organization and Senior Astronomer. Light-Year Mobile Observatory and Jovian Academy are my current projects, but I'm always open to writing and developing my skills in a new environment.
