About Rik Ubaghs
I am a neuroengineer working on the interface between brain science and technology. Using skills from experimental neuroscience, signal processing, and biomedical engineering, I develop new technologies that allow us to view the brain in more detail. At Arago Labs we are developing novel surgical navigation methods that allow surgeons to perform Digital Histology-based Navigation (DHN). Previously I developed an MR compatible microscope that allowed researchers to acquire simultaneous whole-brain fMRI and microscopic brain data (calcium imaging, voltage imaging, vascular imaging). I am also generally interested in brain-machine interfaces, ML/DL, and systems neuroscience.
