Duties include composing pieces that will educate PCF constituents on public policy issues affecting the PCF mission and initiatives taken by PCF staff and constituents at both the state and federal levels. Responsible for writing and distributing newsletters, producing Action Alerts, composing campaign specific releases and supporting material, testimony and issue briefs.

Identify and prioritize legislative issues related to prostate cancer research funding; track and brief President's Office on cancer news; communicate with state and federal officials; review written materials for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling; ensure effective communication of content to target PCF audiences; improve clarity, accuracy, and rhetorical effect of written materials; carry out research to verify facts, dates, and statistics; work with PCF scientists to develop written pieces for general readership; collaborate with multiple authors; maintain PCF editorial standards.
