• Responsible for the communication, development and execution of marketing strategies, including running the .coms, the creation of new digital channels (e.g. ecommerce, outbound email campaigns) and online lead generation for our portfolio companies (PCs)• Craft brand and marketing strategy and channel messaging (digital and print) working directly with sales teams, manufacturing partners and C-level leadership teams; act as a consultant to get buy-in from the PCs on strategy, priorities, budget• Create metrics and reporting to prove ROI and identify priorities; regularly present data and articulate the story of our strategy to the PC Leadership Teams• Quarterback for strategic operational initiatives including building first-ever funnel tracking for PC #1 and launching CRM for PC#2

DISRUPT is RV’s first ecommerce-focused business unit.- Lead Marketing Operations for the first Red Ventures digital-only, e-commerce businesses (in the mobile industry) - Communicate and organize offer changes and new promotions (ad copy, site creative, timelines, partner requests)- Serve as a liaison between partner business teams, brand management team, legal, and internal tech and creative teams; responsible for both tech-related and business-related, business-critical goals

• Develop sales/product strategies in line with our digital marketing initiatives and partner goals • Create KPI tests to increase LTV and optimize performance through the sales funnel• Collaborate to launch during several new businesses and products• Lead day-to-day partner relationships with brand partners • Analyze markets and customer segments using SQL and Excel to find pockets of opportunity • Develop engineer project requirements worth • Prioritize, track and oversee business-critical tasks based on incremental revenue gains• Coordinate launch of new initiatives with the sales teams

I came to Red Ventures after graduating from Auburn in August, 2011. I was hired strictly as a contract writer, and was told there would be no opportunity to be hired as part of the full-time writing team. After 5 months at RV, I was hired full-time and joined our Customer Experience team. - Create online marketing content for multiple brands, including Fortune 500 companies (all while adhering to specific brand guidelines). - Expected to write thousands of words of content each week, as well as work directly with designers, analysts and coordinators. - Brainstorm and execute new ideas and resources to improve the customer experience on our sites- Thinking on your feet, being flexible and taking on tasks outside of your job description are daily occurrences as a writer at RV. Writing tasks include:- full-scale websites- blogs- guest posts- location-specific content- infographics- resource guides/how-tos- ideation- Paid Search ads- scripting

Three months before I graduated college, I joined the OANews staff as a summer intern. Only a few weeks in, one of the sports writers on staff put in his two weeks notice, changing my role significantly. From then on I was expected to function as a full-blown reporter -- working on extremely tight deadlines, helping our editor plan the sports section, conducting interviews, all while covering events and filling the void left by the NFL lockout. At this local daily newspaper, I was expected to: - Find and craft feature stories- Set up and conduct interviews (one-on-one and group)- Cover a multitude of sporting events- Singlehandedly cover tournaments (often lasting 7+ days)- Work on a strict deadline
