I have the honor of representing the University in the Bloomington community and will serve as the primary point of contact for local government, civic organizations, and Bloomington business and community leaders. During this interim appointment, I will identify and develop opportunities to deepen relationships with Bloomington leaders and organizations and design a strategic vision to guide community engagement at IU Bloomington.

• Lead strategy development and implementation of alumni volunteerism that supports a complex system-wide network of campuses that serve approximately 770,000 living graduates. This includes 100+ academic, geographic, identity, and interest-based alumni groups, more than 1,000 certified alumni leaders, and a growing number of individual volunteer contributors. • In collaboration with team members, curate engagement opportunities that represent and reflect alumni experiences and that foster connections between graduates, IUAA, IUF, and school partners. • In partnership with IUAA and IUF team members, develop and implement services and enterprise-wide solutions for university partners so they might strategically and efficiently engage IU alumni. Core team member of the Advancement Solutions Project Salesforce Implementation team. • Manage nine staff and two Student Fellows in a carefully curated, vibrant work environment.

We are passionate about leading philanthropic efforts to improve the quality of healthcare, and changing the lives of patients, in the Bloomington area.The Bloomington Hospital Foundation has provided IU Health Bloomington Hospital with millions in support for the advancement of equipment, services, and programs that benefit the community. From advanced technology used to treat disease to comfort care services, gifts touch the lives of our patients everyday. We believe local philanthropy makes local impact.* Identified, cultivated, and solicited gifts from individuals of at least $10,000. Held a portfolio of more than 300 donors. * Accountable for fundraising programs, events, and corporate giving programs. * In addition to raising money for IU Health Bloomington Hospital accounts, also responsible for the private philanthropy efforts of two local healthcare non-profits, Meals on Wheels and Volunteers in Medicine.

Area of Primary Responsibility: Indiana Market Strategy, July 2013-August 2014• Primary contact for all Indiana University Alumni Association activities in twelve major regional market areas within the state of Indiana. • Lead Indiana “I Community” market research project which includes demographic information and donor analysis, IUAA membership evaluation, review of IU Foundation propensity model, student recruitment activities, and general community assessment.• Work with existing alumni board leadership in each market area in addition to identifying and engaging key graduates in enhanced alumni relations initiatives.• Serve as subject matter expert in the university-wide implementation of Blackbaud/CRIMSON constituent relationship management software.Area of Primary Responsibility: Constituent Societies and Affiliate Groups, April 2008–June 2013• Responsible for funding, strategically planning, and directing activities of five constituent societies (school alumni organizations) and four affiliate groups (special-interest alumni groups), including communications, programs, and special events. • Manage pre-cultivation activities, assisting in the transition from alumni volunteer to university donor.• Involved in various student engagement activities, building goodwill and awareness to ensure that tomorrow’s graduates are aware of the university’s alumni services, programs, and expectations.• Coordinate alumni boards, including the planning and coordination of meetings, strategic planning sessions, and board-member recruitment and cultivation.• Supervise alumni programs assistant and student interns.

• Developed and implemented marketing campaigns that included direct mail, targeted e-communications, mass-marketing initiatives, informational literature, and new-media promotions targeting current and incoming students, parents, and alumni. Efforts resulted in a 45% increase in student membership and a 33% increase in new life membership acquisition. • Planned and promoted programs and special events with attendance ranging from 15 to 1,000+. • Managed market-research projects including surveys, focus groups, data analysis, and response tracking. • Began career at the IUAA as administrative assistant to Vice President of Marketing in January 2003.
