About Richard Loosemore
I was part of the "Special Team" inside the software company where I did my best work. We would go inside someone else's software technology, learn how it worked, clean it, and fix it. We learned new technologies, no matter how challenging, in order to get the project done.I was originally a physicist, but after graduating I moved into artificial intelligence. My approach to AI is extremely unusual (involves complex systems and cognitive psychology).I have been a software engineer for many years, and also a professor in the Physics/Maths/Computing department at Wells College in Upstate New York.As a 15 year old kid I built my own hang glider, tried to fly it, and crashed it. Also built a chemistry lab, and accidentally blew it up.
Listed skills include Research, Computer Science, Programming, Public Speaking, and 20 others.

I develop artificial Intelligence software systems, using a new approach to AI that I refer to as "Complex-System AI" or CSAI.CSAI is more like particle physics than traditional AI. Particle physicists use gigantic accelerators like the one at CERN, and what they do is to *discover* new particles using that tool. In a similar way, Complex-System AI involves building a (huge) software tool and using it to *discover* the algorithms of intelligence. What I do all day is software development, building the tools needed to pursue my approach to AI.

The founder of Star Bridge claimed to have built an “FPGA supercomputer." Later it became apparent that the "supercomputer" had never been fully functional, so I resigned. The company has now disappeared without trace.
