Mount Abram Regional High School is a rural high school in northern Maine, covering 500 square miles. In 2007, Mt. Abram was one of 38 schools in the country selected to participate in College Readiness Evaluation for Schools and Teachers, a landmark study on the nation’s most effective high schools for college readiness. Mt. Abram increased college acceptance rates from 53% in 2000 to above 80% for three of the four years prior to their acceptance into the study.Served as Team Member for College Readiness Program:• To introduce vision and guide process of Great Maine Schools Project funded by a 500K grant for whole school change, using Core Principles and Practices of "Promising Futures" to ensure opportunity for all students.º Efforts contributed to selection for participation in landmark study on nation’s most effective high schools for college readiness resulting in showcasing by the Educational Policy Improvement Center (EPIC) and featured inclusion in David T.
