Since the beginning the 1992 season I have had the great privilege of singing with a symphony chorus regarded by many as the best in the world. We are looking forward to working with the orchestra's new director, Maestro Edo de Waart.

I was very fortunate to join the University shortly after it received its largest research grant ever and it is my responsibility to manage the business end of this 5-year program.In addition to administering this grant I am involved in over 20 others, some funded by the National Institutes of Health, some through the State of Wisconsin and still others from business and private sources.

Primary service part electrical components buyer for 7.5 years. Joined Controls & Electrical Accessory Category in 2006 ($20MM annual spend), adding extensive product development experience.Reduced supplier lead times from 114 days in Jan '00 to 39 in Dec '03.Increased inventory turns on commodities 310% from 1999 to 2006.Was appointed ISO CAR site rep & publicly honored for exemplary performance in that role.Developed Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) program with supplier of 1,000 parts, creating major productivity improvements & savings in administrative expenses.Created Excel program to automatically publish a weekly Backorder Report distributed widely at P&A; cutting a 4-6 hour manual effort to 5 minutes per week.Was selected to represent H-D twice on ISO audits.Launched several dozen new products since 2006, utilizing a New Product Introduction Process that included PPAP.Was certified a Supplier System Evaluation lead auditor.

Led team negotiations w/electrical system supplier for draglines, resulting in savings of $1.6 million for 1 machine, over $4 million potential on future machines & almost $500K in parts.Identified incorrectly loaded high-dollar BOM components, avoiding costly ordering delays & inventory errors.Consolidated vendor base & eliminated several non-performers.Drove cost savings over $100,000 first 4 months on the job.Negotiated special 2.5% terms with a $3MM/year supplier with a win/win outcome.Converted numerous items to less costly & higher quality methods of manufacture through proficiency at interpreting drawings, value analysis & partnering with Engineering to redesign/re-specify parts.Was selected as 1 of 5 bar-code implementation team members.Developed a reputation for excellent SAP system understanding.Sponsored a "Forging Information Exchange Workshop" to promote the latest in capability & technology of 4 largest forging suppliers to 50 employees .
