Responsible for billing and collecting $450 million in revenue for this regional logisitics company, operating 45 service centers in 9 Western states. Introduced new technologies and systems significantly improving performance and controls, reducing transaction costs,and providing easy access to vital business information. Billing accuracy improved from poor to outstanding. Automation and elimination of rework significantly reduced staffing requirements as revenues grew. DSO was reduced from a 40 day average to under 30 days. Bad debt expense dropped to 0.2%. Annual customer satisfaction surveys reflected improvements in billing and collection functions. Other responsibilities included establishment of centralized customer service, automation of pricing assignment, control of customer master files, corporate records control, revenue assurance, and outsourced service management. Actively involved in the development and adminstration of employee training and reward programs that supported Viking's inclusion in "The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America".
