Oscar Wilde said, “No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.” You may wonder what being an artist has to do with marketing because there is so much research involved that it seems like marketing would more likely be classified as a science. While that is true, an artist becomes known for turning some medium (canvas, clay, stone) into a masterpiece that produces desired results (adoring fans). A marketer’s medium is a product that needs to be sold or a communication plan that needs to be delivered. The desired results are increased customer conversions, brand loyalty, and improved profitability. I have spent my career architecting new marketing strategies and reinventing existing plans so that consumer engagement with a product or service is vastly improved. By monitoring market trends, consumer behaviors, and performing competitor analysis, I’ve been able to develop a keen awareness of the human buying motive. I use that knowledge to create value added web content and targeting strategies to increase consumer engagement and onboard new clients. Some of my career accomplishments include:✔ In my role at AGFA, I increased market penetration while reducing Marketing Communication (MarCom) costs by 47%. ✔ I was recruited to AGFA by the Senior Vice President with whom I’d previously worked at Sun Dental.✔ At Tampa Family Health Centers, I oversaw community events in an effort to reach underrepresented markets bringing in over 500 attendees. ✔I have had the distinct pleasure of facilitating staff member training on a global scale.
