We have automated the ACI, which is a key instrument used to conduct a FDA required Particle Size Distribution Tests on Inhaled Drugs. Our system increases test throughput from 2-4 tests/8 hours with highly variable data (typically 8-10%) to a test every 20 minutes (including washing & drying). On an average we get 97+% Mass Balance and with data variability under 4%. We are offering both APSD test services as well as selling the A3G and other equipment (www.labautomate.net) The data has been appreciated by our partners and the FDA. Lab Automate won the Gold Award in the Mass Challenge Business Plan competition out of over 1,200 competing companies and was in the top 10 of Med Ventures Business Competition in Texas. We also have a suite of powder dispensing technologies to dispense from 100 micrograms to several milligrams of drug directly into capsules very accurately. Putting micrograms of drug directly into capsules could eliminate excipients and thus save a year’s worth of development time for new power based drugs. Led the development of powder filling technologies and very high speed powder filling lines in collaboration with German vendors for filling Insulin in disposable cartridges for MannKind Corporation.Was twice awarded Excellence Awards at Schering-Plough for leading the development of Award winning technologies and products.
