Led a team of 10 engineers who worked with the prime contractor (Raytheon) and interfaced with AFSPACECOM, NAIC, Air Staff, and Sacramento ALC.Result: CDSM was fielded on cost and on schedule. The upgraded Cobra Dane radar is now an integral component of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense System. -

Received an Air Force Invention award for APEX in 1989, followed by a US patent in 1993. -
