Rodrigo is a J.D. Candidate at UC Irvine School of Law and a first-generation college graduate from UC Berkeley. At Berkeley, he was actively involved in the Bay Area community and used his role as a pre-law student to assist people in need. He interned with Social Justice Collaborative for three years, helping asylum seekers obtain legal status. As a JusticeCorps intern, he volunteered at self-help clinics for domestic violence restraining orders and housing legal aid. At Oasis Legal Services, he screened newly admitted clients and prepared their asylum declarations.Rodrigo intends to leverage these experiences in law school while maintaining a curious mindset about the various paths that a law degree can lead him towards.
