Roger Smith is the president of RMax Technologies, LLC, a full service defense and government business and legislative consulting firm, offering a broad range of over 40 years of experience in the federal executive and legislative branches of government, the military and industry. RMax Technologies assists clients in the development of winning teams and corporate strategies to rapidly accelerate technologies to warfighters and government customers, and also provides full military and government program management, systems development support and associated public relations.Smith served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Expeditionary Warfare) from January 2007 to August 2009, and as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Littoral and Mine Warfare), from June 2003 to January 2007. Prior to his appointments, he was a professional staff member on the House Armed Services Committee from May 1996 to June 2003 responsible for the oversight of all Army development and acquisition programs, Marine Corps ground and amphibious weapon systems, and conventional ammunition and precision guided munitions.From October 1991 to May 1996, Smith held policy, government relations and marketing management positions in the private sector at the former American Electronics Association (Now Tech America) and Vernitron Corporation.
