As an intern it was my duty to help the team create and maintain our customized investment solutions in the pursuit of helping institutional and individual investors rethink risk as a tool to generate returns. In this role I worked through various financial analysis projects and helped the firm rethink its metrics for assessing market capture through statistical testing and modeling. I also attend various client meetings to network with senior employees and assist in preparing for meetings with a wide range of clients in all arms of of the firm.

This summer job has provided me with various opportunities and skills essential to the workplace. As a veteran employee, I am partially responsible for training new employees as well as managing back stock and new employee activities. I receive shipments of back stock and also manage the allocation of inventory between storage and floor. Through this, I have developed my organization skills and I have been assured of my ability to handle large amounts of products/information. In my tenure, I helped manage the deployment and production of a new line of merchandise that ended up being one of our most successful ever. Working in sales through Heritage has also helped shape my personable and customer-friendly nature.

As an ESG research consultant, I worked with esteemed faculty member Massimo Garbuio on projects regarding the Governance and Social aspects of firms traded on the public market, and those within private markets as well. We focus our research on how firm Governance can directly impact performance and share price. In this role, I have developed several algorithmic trading programs to support our research and accelerate investment decisions as well as firm valuations. My focus here is to streamline the process of investment and to pinpoint firms that are making drastic improvements in the ESG space and then value them in order to determine current values as well as projected growth values. Many of these programs involve various technical indicators as well as other indicators of financial success. I excelled in this role and look to continue this research as my career progresses.

In the process of working on this piece, I have significantly increased my ability to research diverse topics and become knowledgeable in areas that I would have little to no exposure to in a regular setting. Over the course of production, I have become adept with the court systems, specifically dealing with the Supreme Court and the procedural happenings within the courts.

I am the main coordinator for the renovation of properties surrounding Valley Forge Mountain as well as in Longport, New Jersey. Scheduling pool maintenance and upkeep of the aquatic systems, developing and executing a weekly schedule for employees hired by myself, and, coordinating with professionals necessary for projects are among a few of my tasks. During peak work, I spend 40+ hours a week working and filing the necessary paperwork forthe completion of projects. Submitting weekly progress reports and attending morning meetings also became a regular responsibility. This job reinforced my organizational confidence and was an important managerial experience to help me progress as a professional. A majority of the physical work is handled in the summer months (for weather-related purposes) and contracting services are used to manage specific capacities when I am away, always providing the best service. I also remotely manage this operation in order to keep progress on track for completion while attending university.
