With 20+ years of experience in supply chain management and diversity compliance, I am a proven leader and strategist in the field. I hold the CPSM and CPSD credentials from the Institute for Supply Management, and have served on the executive board of several national organizations that promote supplier diversity. I have also led the economic inclusion activities for both large private (Office Depot) and public sector (Broward County Public Schools) organizations. Most recently, I joined the Harris County Flood Control District to focus on process improvement and increasing supplier engagement in construction sourcing. As a passionate educator and instructor, I teach mindfulness in business at various institutions and organizations. I have a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Situational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an Economics minor from the University of Florida. I have guest-lectured at universities and presented at national conferences on topics such as leadership, economic development, mindfulness, and supply chain management. I am also a certified yoga, Thai Chi, and fitness instructor, and a teaching and practicing martial artist. I incorporate lessons from these disciplines into my consulting and speaking engagements, blending business and fitness professional experiences into a unique mindfulness practice for everyday life.
