As the IT leader of Natives of Kodiak and it's subsidiaries, I'm responsible for planning, organizing, and executing Information Technology strategy across the KOMAN family of companies while ensuring implementation is timely, within budget, and coordinated. Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure for the organization.

Served as a corporate officer overseeing the IT department for the 13th largest Alaska-owned company primary responsibilities involve technical direction and strategy for the company and its customers. This includes, but is not limited to, full life-cycle project management, client and vendor relationships, and financial and operational management throughout the US and across three continents. Additional responsibilities include facilities management, industrial security, and lease negotiations.Selected Achievements:• Maintaining an average departmental tenure of 6.5 years, in an intensely competitive market with less than 2% unemployment, by focusing on a supportive and high-morale environment.• Sustaining critical system up-time of 99.8% while maintaining a departmental budget ratio under 0.5% of gross revenue, resulting in high availability and millions of dollars in annualized savings as compared to industry peers.• Proactively overseeing technological change management related to mergers & acquisitions, reorganization, and process improvement initiatives.• Presently serving as an executive member of the corporate crisis management team. This involves semi-annual virtual table-top exercises (VTTX) within the department to test and otherwise prepare for disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.• Eligible for access to TOP SECRET classified information based upon an initial adjudication completed by the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) on April 11th, 2007 (SECRET on December 20, 2005) with a PPR completed on February 21st, 2012.

Responsible for strategic and operational management, and implementation, of the organization’s IT needs. This not only included management of all departmental employees, but also all technical systems, budgeting, design, purchasing, implementation, and maintenance of IT and telecommunications throughout the company.Selected Achievements:• Created best practices-focused team consistently providing solutions exceeding client expectations, maintaining 99.7% customer satisfaction ratings across all measured categories: response time, resolution quality, technical expertise, & communication skills.• Spearheaded corporate projects, advanced technologies, and enterprise systems that facilitate business processes and strategic objectives, including: Multi-site AD design; Office365 cloud migration; Timberline, Sage HRMS, and AP Workflow implementations and upgrades; high-performance virtualized infrastructure; NetApp SAN deployment; and various network build-outs.• Implemented security framework based upon NIST 800-53 and 800-171 ensuring compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012. Provided technical support for the organization’s communications and information technology (IT) functions, as well as for those of its clients. Designed, implemented, operated, administered and oversaw the telecommunication systems and local area network/wide area network.Selected Achievements: • Managed diverse IT staff and outsource IT support vendors across multiple sites throughout the country.• Created a multitude of IT & Security policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure operationally consistent & stable environment Policies included: Information Security; Disaster Recovery; Hardware/Software Rotation; Media Destruction; Retention & Backups; Incident Response; & Acceptable Use.• Integrated a dozen new sites into the company network.
