RaeShauna Mboma is currently an Academic Facilitator at a Public Charter School, in Temple Hills, Maryland. She is a proud product of Prince George’s County Public School System (PGCPS) and graduated with honors from Friendly Senior High School.RaeShauna earned her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Special Education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (2000), a Master of Education (M.ED) in Special Education towards Learning Disabilities at the University of Maryland College Park (2002), and a Masters of Science in Administration (M.S.A) towards Educational Administration at Trinity University (2008). RaeShauna is also currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D.) in Educational Leadership. Prior to her current role, RaeShauna served over ten years working directly for students with disabilities all over PGCPS. For several years she provided individualized instruction for students with multiple disabilities at Rose Valley Elementary School (the school she went to as a child) and then did this with such effectiveness that she was recruited to then mentor other teachers as an Itinerant teacher. During her tenure in the classroom, RaeShauna participated in many of our districts leadership programming opportunities and used her experiences to strengthen her craft as a leader. Over time, RaeShauna earned certifications from New Leaders Emerging Leaders Program (2011-2012), the PGCPS Pre-Leadership Program (2010-2011), was a Rising Star in Special Education (2006-2007), and was nominated for both the Christa McAuliffe and Agnes Meyer awards for PGCPS (2011-2012). During the 2011-2012 school year, one of the most proudest moments in RaeShauna’s 17 years in PGCPS has been to serve as Teacher of the Year for our district while at Baden ES. She travelled all over the state spreading the mission and vision of PGCPS and looks forward to spending the duration of her career doing just that!
