Lean Sigma Black Belt responsible for completing customer focused quality and process improvement projects that drive better results for internal customers and shareholders. Responsible for being the ambassador for measurement, accountability and a disciplined approach to process improvement for business unit/functional areas. In this full time role I am responsible for the following:.• Responsible for managing the design and implementation of projects.• Lead, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement projects using the Lean Sigma methodology to deliver desired results within a specific time frame. • Responsible for mentoring and coaching Kaizen Leaders.

Provided leadership to eight direct reports responsible for strategic supply chain management of $740 million in global packaging/chemical spend. Oversaw the development and implementation of global supply chain category strategies across all BMS divisions—pharmaceutical, consumer, nutritional, and wound care. Guided the team in all facets of supply agreements, including contract negotiations, market updates, supply chain, new supply identification, and new material/supplier qualification, for items managed, including packaging/chemicals related to the production of final products and intermediates. Administered all regulatory/compliance changes with suppliers, to include BSE, Prop 65, and Allergen.

Spearheaded cross-functional team projects that incorporated best practices for tandem ordering; provided leadership and support in supplier/site introduction to tandem ordering process/benefits, product grouping characteristics, pricing methods, economic order quantity analysis, benefit analysis, and SAP/BPIC methodology. Conducted site analyses to identify areas of opportunity in secondary packaging categories across BMS manufacturing locations in North America and Latin America.
