While in Memphis Dr Cox continued counseling in inpatient and outpatient settings. Their first academic appointment came in 2016 with Pfeiffer University.Dr Cox is the author of peer-reviewed articles about inmate mental health and they regularly train counselors in applications of trauma-informed approaches, clinical supervision, and evidence-based treatment models.
