I have been hired to help Mulhern and Kulp both develop and implement a marketing strategy in support of their goals for growth. As M+K's first marketing hire, I have been charged with creating a new department, optimizing the M+K brand, establishing best practice, integrating marketing & sales functions, and future staffing. I am very excited to play a role in helping this great company realize its objectives.

I direct the development of fully integrated consumer awareness-building tactics that span social, digital and conventional platforms. My approach is disciplined, research-based and creative. I learned my craft while consulting with great clients such as Procter & Gamble, Disney and Mattel. I now focus on emerging consumer goods companies who are looking to build targeted, scalable and successful brand strategies.

Repositioned gallery to target a larger and higher-end audience. Raised 13K to renovate gallery. Conceived, staged and promoted multiple successful exhibits, elevating public perception and increasing awareness. Researched, wrote and was awarded several grants, which included a successful solicitation of the Queen Anne's County (MD) commissioners.

Responsible for extending the agency’s base of business by leveraging my core expertise in consumer goods branding (they were known for their high-end collateral programs and wanted to expand their service offerings to include branding and packaging). Won business from clients such as Mattel, Intel, Balance Nutrition Bars and MetRx, as well as many B2B / IT concerns in Silicon Valley.Acted as Account Supervisor on all of the new business accounts that I procured.P&L responsibility for all of my accounts - maintained target margins.

Grew the agency’s design business - managed key accounts - supervised and motivated the sales and account staff.P&L responsibility for my accounts.Oversight responsibility for design staff.NOTE: in 1997 Mednick Design merged with Ketchum Advertising (LA) & OnRamp (NYC), a cutting edge online development firm (THINK New Ideas), after which we floated the company on NASDAC (IPO) and relocated to Hollywood.Over the course of my tenure @ THINK, I procured and/or managed business for Mattel, McAffee Software, International Paper, Reebok and Netcom.

Initially hired as a consultant to research the German ‘Green Point’ environmental packaging initiative vis-à-vis Mattel core brand packaging (i.e., Barbie & Hot Wheels).Researched the legislative issues & audited packaging in all categories re: compliance - hired industrial design firms to develop concept packages - presented findings to entire Mattel Executive management team (including CEO & President).Based on the strength and content of my presentation I was hired full time to direct the development and production of in-store identities for the launch of key Disney entertainment properties including The Lion King.My team also developed specialty packaging for Barbie and Nickelodeon (7 direct reports – several designers, a copywriter and a package engineer).I worked directly with Mattel’s Senior Disney Management Team (marketing and toy development) in delivering successful launches.Participated in several cross-functional new product development brainstorming sessions for the Disney Brand.

After being promoted from designer (Westport) to GM (relo to Cincinnati), I was responsible for stabilizing and growing our key account (Procter & Gamble).Responsible for new business development (new accounts opened include Chiquita Brands, Kenner Toys and Kroger Foods).Effectively managed a staff of 15 to 20, with 3 direct reports.P&L responsibility on all accounts.Office revenue increased by 400% in three+ years (from 600K to 2.4MM).
