About Richard M. George Iștoc

People call me crazy about planes. And they might be right; who takes photos of planes, right?Aviation has been my passion since I was a little kid. Watching the aircraft taking off, landing at your local airport is always something fascinating. But why leave it only like a dream? Let's do something about it. First thing I was thinking at 14 years of age? Photography. By capturing the essence of what aviation is through my eyes & sharing it with the World is truly a rewarding thing. I never thought I would take it so seriously back in 2010 when I started up until 3 years ago, when I deciding to Invest in my knowledge & go all-in. Fast forward today, I share with around 60k followers across all social media platforms my vision of aviation through my photography, was having freelance work with different European airports, my work was published in aviation magazines & I held expos at local museums. Before the World came to a halt I had the opportunity to work in Ground Operations at Bucharest Airport. The power of social media has led me to connect with multiple famous airline pilots during the Turnaround Times. Being a Turnaround Coordinator should be an essential job to any aspiring pilot or Airport Manager. You learn how to cope with pressure, how to lead a team, how to coordinate everything within the given time by the airline, deal with problems & learn how to solve them as quick as possible and follow the rules accordingly. You are close to the action, close to the hot engines, right where everything happens. It's truly a joyful experience!Good things come to an end, and we all know what happened to the world the past years. Unfortunately my time on the Apron has ended. But a new chapter has begun, in the handling of Air Cargo shipments & Documentation. It's not a remote job like the last one, it's a desk job. Is it as challenging as the other? Some say yes, some say no. The fact that you are dealing with Dangerous Goods that in some cases cannot be permitted only in limited quantities and certain aircraft types it makes it challenging. From checking all the documentation to be in accordance with IATA regulations, to building up ULD with cargo; is all part of the process. The world of Flight Operations. A constantly expanding system, keeping the aircraft up in the air and crews fit to fly. Currently exploring this sector, and what a fascinating environment.
