Over 25 years of experience in the Electronic Prepress field and involvement in preflighting, preparing, retouching, trapping and imaging customer’s files to plate. Though my skills are greatly enhanced on the Mac platform, I am able to navigate and produce just as well on the PC side. My last two positions employed the EskoArtworks Nexus and the Kodak (formerly Creo) Prinergy PDF workflows that incorporate automated trapping and imposition on a per page basis. Through these workflows we have been able to integrate files from such diverse programs as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, CorelDraw, Excel, Freehand and PageMaker by distilling them to PDF where they can be edited and adjusted for prepress standards.My current position at Vernon Display Graphics employs many different workflows and RIP software that includes EFI, Wasatch and Onyx, depending on which device we are outputting to.Strong organizational skills and dedication to responsibility, as well as Macintosh computer maintenance, troubleshooting and prepress problem solving. I started my career in the days of mechanicals, paste-up and type specing, so I understand what it takes to get the job out the door. I am very passionate about the quality of my work and focused on the tasks I am given.Specialties: Thorough knowledge of the “Big Three” desktop publishing applications: QuarkXpress, Adobe inDesign and Adobe Acrobat and have used them on both the Macintosh and PC platforms. I am also familiar with such programs as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Preps and the Acrobat plug-in tool Pitstop from Enfocus.
