Projects that help make to make Indiana communities great places in which to work, live, and play can find funding through CreatINg Places, which uses online crowdfunding to help meet a fundraising goal which IHCDA then matches.As a member of the Real Estate Development team at IHCDA, I hope to bring aspects of my interest in creative placemaking, historic preservation, and adaptive re-use development to not only retain the talents of native Hoosiers, but also to attract others to join our ever improving state. In August 2016, IHCDA launched CreatINg Places, a placemaking crowd-granting initiative in collaboration with Detroit-based Patronicity. CreatINg Places helps Indiana non-profits and LGUs fund placemaking projects near their central business districts.
