As CEO and Founder, Mr. Allen is responsible for assessing potential buyer interest in our firm’s prospective sell-side opportunities. This is facilitated through a close working relationship with our Transactions Group and an exceptional ability to analyze the true value of a company from a buyer’s perspective. With more than 25 years of M&A experience, Mr. Allen has been directly involved in the execution of more than 600 client transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, and opinions of value in some of the most volatile industries, including technology, pharmaceutical, aerospace, manufacturing, distribution, and energy. Previously in his career, Mr. Allen was a Managing Director of Telos Capital Advisors, TTC and McGladrey Capital Markets, a subsidiary of H&R Block. Mr. Allen also served as Managing Partner of DTF Management, a private equity group specializing in technology-based companies (Diversified Technology Fund I, II, & III). Prior positions include Managing Director of Intercontinental Equities, an NASD (FINRA) registered broker-dealer, where he held a Series 22 & 63 securities license. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Allen founded and operated three companies in the consulting, distribution and technology sectors. Mr. Allen was CEO of Bitfield Technologies, LLC, which was the parent company of Bitfield, OY based in Helsinki, Finland. Bitfield Technologies was a leading developer of hardware & software for the videoconferencing arena. Mr. Allen acquired and recapitalized the company, implementing a complete turnaround of the enterprise, and then sold it to a public European company, Algo Vision, Plc. Mr. Allen attended the University of Colorado and earned his postgraduate Business Management Certification at the University of Colorado.
