A small town guy, but a global professional passionate for technology.Born in the south of Brazil, I have strived to make my way to be part of the cutting edge technology industry.I travelled all the way to Japan to learn how they take advantage of their academic force to develop new technology. Physics, electronics, engineering and robots made the most of my experience at the Japanese Space Exploration Agency and the University of Tokyo.Once I started my professional career, I understood that learning would be my strongest feature. I have joined the automotive industry and for an electronics engineer, I had a lot of mechanical characteristics to consider for my job to be successful. The ability to learn new things made me capable of understanding people better. I have been working in the interface of cross-functional teams for more than 10 years, and the ability to understand and translate other people’s minds into the business has paved a strong path for me to achieve success by detecting potential deviations faster.For that reason, I have decided to embrace agile principles a lot sooner than most people. While most people were trying to detect future mistakes and ensuring that there was enough theory to “protect” the processes, I understood that people have different necessities and different understanding of the theory, so the best we could do was to create rapid feedback to confirm we were all navigating in the same direction.Last, but not least, I understood how important it is to have clear and public goals that connect from the executive / investor level, to the shop floor / operational level. The more people understand why they are doing what they doing, the more they feel part of the whole and develop the sense of ownership of their work.Other than that, I rely on extracurricular experiences that helped me develop other soft skills. Being part of ERG efforts, tutoring young professionals and under privileged students, taking courses on technology applications and how they could favor society in general. I could also say that, as an electronic entertainment enthusiast (a.k.a. gamer), I keep training myself on my team skills, leadership and organizations skills, and some strategic thinking for resource management and decision making.I would be happy to have a chat any time so fell free to connect.
